This FKP will follow the established Lake Erie Water Trail established by the Cleveland Metroparks, paddling from west to east. Paddlers will put in at Huntington Beach and follow the shoreline until they reach the take-out at Sims Beach. Paddlers must never be more than 1/2 a mile from the shoreline or breakwall. The goal of the FKP is to take in the sites of the coastline, not cut directly across Lake Erie from point to point! Smell the roses!

Put-in: Huntington beach is easily accessible by paddlers on the easternmost corner of the beach, where Porter Creek enters Lake Erie. A small parking lot is present there where paddlers can drop their boats for the launch, and then go park elsewhere (all parking spaces in the lot are for those who with accessibility needs).

Take-out: Paddlers can park a car at Kenneth J. Sims Park and can land and take-out on the westernmost corner of Sims Beach.
