Route Description:
The Willamette 150 is a beautiful non stop stretch of the Willamette that runs between Eugene and Portland Oregon. It is windy, wild and has enough water in it at all times with many boat ramps along the way.
Trip report:
We set off at 7:05 from the official put in for the Willamette at 7:05 am pacific time. The water level was a bit low, but very doable and we were able to hold an average of 9.5-10 miles an hour pretty much for the first 110 miles. Once it got dark we hit the slow water, which was a bit harder for our motivation but we got it done. It was surprisingly wild in parts and very peaceful. We only saw 3 people on the river. There was no major rapids and no needed portages! More of a race report here: https://endurancemama.com/2026/04/22/everesting-close-to-home-150-miles-down-the-willamette/
